I am a civil litigation and criminal defence lawyer.
I assist clients with various civil disputes and claims, including claims relating to injuries suffered in the workplace, public place, or in a transport accident, claims relating to damage to property, and employment disputes, including general protection and unfair dismissal claims. I assist clients in all States and Territories.
In my criminal defence practice, I assist clients defend charges ranging from minor offences to more serious criminal charges such as rape, manslaughter, and murder.
Before I became a lawyer, I was an advisor for Victoria’s largest single-site private employer. In this role, I strategically managed all workplace injury claims and advised all the business units within the company in relation to their workplace health and safety obligations.
After becoming a lawyer, I initially practiced at a small litigation law firm in Melbourne CBD where I primarily defended negligence claims against individuals and various entities, including businesses, organisations, and local governments. I also assisted clients with contractual and commercial disputes. I next practiced at a preeminent global law firm, and then at an international firm.
I have great pride in the career I have had so far. However, assisting those most in need and having a positive impact are my ultimate career objectives. These happens to also be Ajak & Associates’ mission, and I joined the firm to expand that mission with my expertise.
I am keenly aware that for most people, the legal system can be complex and intimidating, especially at difficult times. This is why my focus is simplifying the issues in each case and delivering the best outcome to every client, in a timely and cost-effective way.
